A formal dinner and an award ceremony to create business opportunities for members and a celebratory atmosphere organized in Palazzo Re Enzo in Bologna.
The client
Confindustria Ceramica is the association that represents, connects, informs and assists Italian companies involved in the ceramic industry. The association, for over 40 years, directs its activity according to the needs of the associated companies, with the aim of affirming and protecting its interests, role and entrepreneurial image.

Organization of an award ceremony
Each year, during the Cersaie, the most important international exhibition for the ceramic and porcelain sector, all the participating companies are invited to an awards ceremony to win “Best Exhibition Stand”. The event is organized by Confindustria Ceramica, the umbrella organization behind the trade show.
This event represented an opportunity for the members of Confindustria Ceramica to celebrate their excellence both in their industry and in the creation of their exhibition stand. Company owners of participating organizations were invited along with other key industry players and press to the awards ceremony for “Best Stand” during the International Exhibition of Ceramics for Architecture and Bathroom Furnishings.
A relaxing party after dinner
The event was held at the iconic Palazzo Re Enzo in the center of Bologna, Italy. This exclusive location was chosen to reinforce the grandeur of the award. The evening run-down was created by Genius Progetti to first include a welcome cocktail in the Loggia on the 1st floor and then a served three-course dinner.
During the dinner, there was time for some speeches of the company’s executive to introduce the awards ceremony held in the Salone del Podestà. The event was then closed in a relaxing way with a party and post-dinner drinks.
Our work for the event
This event required a significant amount of planning to meet city requirements for both the technical set-up and pedestrian movement to the location.
- Location: scouting, rental agreement, technical assessment and layout;
- Permits & Security: building permits, security plan, security on-site pre and during event, author rights, parking permits and public land permits;
- Concept, Light Display & Furniture: many custom elements were brought in to reinforce the elegant and celebratory theme of the evening. Outdoor projections, light fixtures and mood lighting was used to create an effective and dramatic atmosphere for the event;
- Food & Beverage: caterer scouting, menu testing and creation, including management of all food and beverage service staff and management of special dietary need requests;
- Front of House Direction & Audio/Visual Management: complete set-up of sound reinforcement system and lighting control. Our management includes multiple sound and technical checks and complete technical run-throughs including live event production management;
- Accommodations: scouting and management of hosting staff, client gift creation and distribution and post-event taxi service management;
- Set-up and take down: set up and take down of event within 24 hours, executed entirely by Genius Progetti’s technical and build staff.
