The project “K” was developed by our team of designers and project managers for Kohler Engines to participate in several international trade shows.
The client
Almost 90 years ago, Kohler began manufacturing engines and has continually improved its products to help make life easier and more profitable for end users around the globe. Today, the company offers a full array engines, which are supplied to equipment manufacturers worldwide in the construction, agricultural, and lawn and garden industries.

The newest exhibition space of Kohler
Kohler Engines relied on our team to design a brand new exhibition stand and participate in numerous fairs around the world between 2017 and 2021. It was necessary to provide a modular stand easily adaptable to different sizes and exhibition spaces.
We had already experimented this type of solution for the “The Light Box” project used in as many fairs around the world in previous years and the experience gained was fundamental.
The concept design of “K”
The project we developed was called K. It has been used by the company since the 2017 edition of Agritechnica and then adapted for participation in EIMA, GaLaBau and Bauma, here in a two-story version. We designed a unique concept for the project such as to enhance the company products and to reflect its main features: modernity, innovation, research, power and quality.
We started developing a custom graphic design according to the corporate colors and image. Then, months before the event, we created a full 3d render of the exhibition stand to show our customer the project.
The version of “K” at EIMA 2021
In 2021 Kohler decided to reconfirm the original concept of “K” to present the KDI 3404 engine at EIMA, the International Agricultural and Gardening Machinery Exhibition in Bologna.
The success of the project was also reconfirmed giving Kohler the opportunity to stand out among its competitors at the fair. The exhibition stand was modified to comply with the available display area but colors, concept, lighting elements and decorations remained the same.
The version of “K” at Agritechnica 2019
“K” was used is the 2019 edition of Agritechnica, the world’s leading trade fair for agricultural machinery that takes place every year in Hannover. Here, the large exhibition space available allowed the development of an exhibition area, an office area and a lounge area.
We designed the stand in such a way as to provide a lounge area in the center separated from the exhibition space by large metal tubular grids. From inside the lounge area it was possible to see outside and vice versa.
Technology, lighting and screens
LED lights on the floor and on the ceiling allowed the perfect illumination of any space, in particular, the exhibition area. The engines on display were also equipped with a printed glass panel with all the relevant information. The exhibition included LED screens and a LED wall that gave a technological aspect to the entire project.
We have completed the stand design with large fabric inserts applied to the sides. The fabric features a personalized print with company colors and logo. As for setting up the stand: we manage both the construction phase, choosing all the materials, and the dismantling phase at the end of the fair.
