Exhibition stand concept and design
Bologna, Paris, Hannover, Munich
The concept of “The light box” was developed and presented in 2015 to reflect a new era for Kohler Engines after the takeover of Lombardini. The design included a modern, clean and functional environment with a cafè, meeting areas, LED walls and back-lit display areas.
The stand concept was developed as a completely adaptable space for international trade shows. This way Genius Progetti was able to adapt “The light box” exhibition stand to the specific areas dedicated to Kohler Engines in multiple fairs over the years. The stand hosted thousands of visitors.
During the design phase, our client received full 3-D renders of the stand in order to best plan the layout and mood of it. Also, our technical department conducts on-site evaluations of each space dedicated to Kohler in the fairs to best incorporate electrical and build specifications.

The adaptation of “The Light Box” for Bauma resolved a request from the client to have more working and meeting space due to the fact that this fair is the most visited. Thanks to the height of the ceiling we were able to create a private meeting room on the second floor and a storage space under the stairs. The stairway was also decorated with a timeline showing the history of the company, while the first floor housed the product and technical displays and a cafè.
